Ouachita Enterprise Corporation - In 1989, the officials of Monroe, West
Monroe, and Ouachita Parish decided to form an
organization that could aggressively encourage economic
development on a parish wide basis. The Ouachita
Enterprise Corporation (OEC) is a public agency which is
funded by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury, City of West
Monroe, and City of Monroe. The OEC was developed as a
resource center for economic development. As the
organization has grown in resources, it has become
uniquely qualified to provide total support to a
prospective new company or one already doing business in
the parish.
